SKILLS

Leadership

As a Director of a Pre-Professional Service Organization and Head Coordinator of Project Makeover, I have ample experience leading students through strategic oversight, collaboration, and decision-making. My ability to stay organized ensures that projects stay on track and meet objectives effectively. I maintain strong communication with team members and identify opportunities for team members to grow professionally through one-on-one mentoring. I value my setbacks and use it as a way to grow. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others to provide them with the tools they need to succeed.

Communication Skills

Effective communication is at the core of my leadership style and is a skill I prioritize in all of my roles. I understand that clear, concise, and timely communication is essential for managing expectations and fostering collaboration. I actively listen to the needs of members, encourage open dialogue, and create a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas and concerns. By maintaining transparent communication, I am able to build trust, resolve issues quickly, and keep projects moving forward smoothly. It is also something I value and expect from other team members.

Organization

Having a large course load as a previous pre-medical student and being heavily involved on campus, I have had to rely on strong organizational skills, such as planning and executing tasks to stay on track. An example of my strong organizational skills is when I organized the annual pickleball tournament to raise money for Project Makeover. My role required adequate planning and collaboration with team members to achieve this goal. I also previously served as a board member of the Academic Excellence Committee in my sorority, where I organized study sessions and academic events that helped our chapter reach its academic goals.

Adaptability

In my various academic and leadership roles, I have developed a strong ability to adapt to changing environments and handle new challenges with flexibility and resilience. My internship in Bangkok, Thailand, offered me the opportunity to navigate a new culture and healthcare system. My current role as a NICU Patient Care Tech has required me to swiftly adapt to a range of situations, from assisting nurses and parents to managing the flow of hospital operations. My experiences in various dynamic settings have strengthened my problem-solving skills and taught me how to adjust quickly to meet the needs of different situations.
